Delaware County restaurant inspections: Double dip of droppings, ice machines, spoiled food

Violations and comments on food-safety inspections conducted last week by the Delaware County Health Department of establishments with liquor licenses, with violations found at 18 of 25 restaurants visited: Chester Pizzeria, 32 E. Seventh St., Chester: • Disposable paper towels not provided at the hand washing sink. • Food stored in an unapproved location on floor of walk in cooler. Artillery Brewing Co., 4221 Ferne Blvd., Drexel Hill: • Food in the refrigerator is not marked with a use-by date. • Food storage containers are not labeled. Chili’s Grill & Bar, 4750 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven: • Fixed equipment exposed to spillage or seepage is not installed so that it is sealed to adjoining equipment or walls. Various sinks are not sealed to the wall. • An air gap is not properly provided at soda area. The water supply inlet is below the flood rim of the fixture/equipment. • Make-up air / Exhaust vents in the kitchen area were found with accumulation of dust on them.
