New Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II Has More Power And Goes Further
The update boosts power and charging convenience as Rolls-Royce responds to weaker sales and growing luxury EV competition.
Rolls-Royce unveiled the Spectre Series II, introducing a 16% range increase to 308 EPA-estimated miles and switching to the NACS charging standard in the United States.
Global sales dropped 47% in 2025 to 1,002 units, though the Spectre retained its position as the marque's second best-selling model; the update addresses criticisms that the 400V platform lags behind 800V architectures standard in premium EVs.
The Black Badge Spectre Series II delivers 670 hp in Infinity Mode and 1,100 Nm of torque in Spirited Mode, becoming the most powerful production Rolls-Royce in the company's 122-year history.
Bespoke customization options now include Duality Twill, a bamboo-derived fabric requiring up to 2.6 million stitches, and Placed Perforation leather featuring 78,138 precision-cut holes, with some clients ordering more than 20 individual elements.
By adopting NACS, Rolls-Royce aims to provide owners greater convenience than existing CCS infrastructure; however, rivals like the Mercedes-Benz EQS now offer up to 575 miles of range, narrowing the competitive advantage.
It offers shine and Gloria more than enough, but technically, the Rolls-Royce Spectre had fallen behind. With an update, the British are bringing the electric luxury liner back to the front.
