Rivian has begun test production of the R2, with series production expected to start soon. The California-based electric vehicle manufacturer has not yet announced a specific launch date for the crossover model, but plans to begin sales in the first half of the year. Rivian plans to deliver the first units of its R2 SUV to customers in June, the company told the local media outlet WGLT during a tour of its Illinois EV plant.
