Riverhead’s veterans honored with 155 banners across town
Riverhead’s hometown hero banners honoring veterans are going up in three of the town’s hamlet centers in advance of the Memorial Day holiday. Members of the Riverhead Town Veterans Advisory Committee and members of the Rotary Club of Riverhead hung the banners from streetlights in downtown Riverhead Saturday. Banners will also be displayed on lightpoles in Jamesport and Wading River. Source
