Dave Rennie Rings the Changes for All Blacks' Final Springboks Test
Mo'unga will start at fly-half as coach Dave Rennie makes eight changes to the All Blacks lineup after a 29-24 loss in the previous Test.
All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie named Richie Mo'unga at flyhalf and appointed Codie Taylor as captain for the fourth and final Test of Rugby's Greatest Rivalry in Baltimore on Saturday, 12 September.
Trailing the series 2-1, Rennie made eight changes to the starting XV after injuries ruled out captain Ardie Savea and loose forward Luke Jacobson from the decider. The squad attempts to draw the series and end the tour strongly.
Prop Fletcher Newell, lock Patrick Tuipulotu, loose forward Ethan Blackadder, and centre Anton Lienert-Brown will make their first Test starts of the series, joined by returning prop Ethan de Groot after concussion protocols.
"It is our chance to draw the series and end the tour with a performance to be proud of," Rennie said, emphasizing the squad's commitment to honoring teammates who returned home early.
M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore hosts the decisive Test on Saturday, 12 September at 9am, marking the tour's final engagement and the All Blacks' last chance to level the series.
