New Audi A6 Allroad Revealed, Australia Under Evaluation
- Audi introduced the new Allroad in Europe this month, featuring a plug-in hybrid powertrain for the first time with a starting price of $89,700.
- Compared to the standard Audi Avant, the new Allroad features a beefier body design, sitting 34 millimeters higher and 111 millimeters wider, marking 27 years since the original model debuted.
- Powering the new model, a two-liter gasoline engine pairs with an electric motor to deliver 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, providing up to 59 miles of all-electric range.
- Standard features include adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering, and a high-voltage heater warming the cabin without fuel; charging takes roughly two and a half hours at up to 11 kilowatts.
- Audi has not confirmed if the hybrid wagon will reach the United States, where the standard Avant is only offered as the RS6.
