Retreats, public spending, ArcelorMittal... Malmené, Emmanuel Macron defends his economic policy

Attacked on various subjects during his speech on TF1, the head of state defended his record at the head of the country and rejected certain proposals from the left and the unions.

Facing various personalities on Tuesday 13 May at night on TF1, the head of state returned to the interview exercise to defend his chaotic quinquennium.

The head of state was this Tuesday evening at the centre of a show on the challenges of France in which he was questioned by French people, known or less, about everything that worries the country "pessimistic". He was sometimes shook up but tried to defend his record, in all fields.

Emmanuel Macron defended his eight years of action at the Élysée on Tuesday on TF1 and reinforced his pedagogy on international issues. However, the French president remained inflexible on his domestic policy, in particular by rejecting a referendum on his pension reform.
