India’s retail sales rise 4% in April: Survey

New Delhi: Retailers Association of India (RAI) said based on its survey that retail sales in April recorded a 4 per cent annual growth compared to the same month of 2024. April saw a 4% rise in retail sales in India: Survey

A 4 per cent yearly increase in retail sales was reported in April compared to the same month of 2024, the Retailers Association of India (RAI) said, basis its survey.

The turnover of retail trade enterprises (excluding VAT) amounted to EUR 1.7 billion in April at current prices and, compared to the same month in 2024, increased by 4% in constant prices after removing the influence of the number of working days, according to preliminary data from the State Data Agency.
