Police have once again highlighted the dangers of drink driving after a motorist mounted a kerb in front of them while they were on duty in Portadown and crashed into a fence before driving on.

A motorist who crashed into a fence in Portadown, before trying to drive on was arrested after police discovered he was nearly twice the legal drink-drive limit. Road Policing Officers, who were on patrol in the Brownstown Road area, witnessed the vehicle mount a kerb directly in front of them before colliding with the fence.
