RESOLVED: Wheeling Police, NIPAS SWAT Looking for Suspect in the MainStay Suites Northbrook Wheeling Hotel on Capitol Drive

Wheeling police officers responded around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025 to a report of a battery at the MainStay Suites Northbrook Wheeling, 8000 Capitol Drive. A short time later NIPAS SWAT Team members and units were assigned to the hotel. Apparently, the suspect inside the hotel is armed.
