Kevin Huerter Reportedly Re-Signing with the Pistons for 3 Years, $27 Million
Kevin Huerter averaged 8.6 points in 25 games after Detroit acquired him at the trade deadline.
On Monday, Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania reported that free agent guard Kevin Huerter intends to sign a new three-year, $27 million deal to return to the Detroit Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons acquired Huerter on February 3, 2026, as part of a three-team trade involving the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves.
During his 25-game stint with Detroit, Huerter averaged 8.6 points in 20.5 minutes, though he struggled from distance by connecting on just 29.4 percent of his three-point attempts.
Detroit finalized the contract with Huerter on Monday, securing the guard's position with the team following his 2025-2026 season acquisition.
Despite recent shooting inconsistencies, Huerter remains a potent 3-point shooter with a career mark of 36.8 percent who will help space the court for franchise superstar Cade Cunningham.
