Lithuanian General Remigijus Baltrenas, Director General of NATO's International Military Staff, assessed that a permanent US base in Poland is a strategically appropriate solution from a military point of view, while Lithuania should continue to use the rotational model.
"Both politically, strategically and militarily, this is a very good deployment (in Poland-PAP), which allows us to be in a relatively safe position and at the same time direct American units to the Baltic states," he said in an interview with the BNS news agency.
