Kairi Sane, Aleister Black & More Former WWE Stars Reportedly Hit Free Agency - Wrestling Inc.
The released wrestlers can now sign elsewhere, with AEW, TNA and New Japan Pro-Wrestling among the likely landing spots, PWInsider said.
On Thursday, 11 former WWE talents released in April officially became free agents as their 90-day non-compete clauses expired, allowing them to sign with other promotions.
Sweeping 'spring cleaning' layoffs this past April resulted in more than two dozen WWE departures following WrestleMania, with superstars informed their time with the company would end.
Writing on X Thursday morning, Kairi Sane posted 'How far I'll go...' signaling her next steps, while Joe Gacy wrote 'And here we go' on social media.
Other released stars are already charting new paths: Zelina Vega filed to trademark 'Xelina', Zoey Serrano secured a RevPro Women's Grand Prix 2026 spot, and Santos Escobar criticized WWE President Nick Khan and Paul 'Triple H' Levesque.
Nikki Storm, formerly known as Nikki Cross, is focusing on her new role as co-owner of PROGRESS Wrestling and DEFY Wrestling alongside Big Damo, with appearances planned in both promotions within the next month.
