Although the unemployment rate in Poland remains low, the scale of announced collective layoffs is causing concern among experts. According to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, in the first half of the year, employers announced plans to reduce the number of jobs by as many as 80,000 – more than in the pandemic-hit 2020 and more than twice as many as in all of last year. This includes layoffs in the manufacturing sector, but not exclusively.
