The Significance of Juneteenth

WACO, Texas (FOX 44) - June 19th is known as Juneteenth. This is a holiday in the United States commemorating the effective end of slavery on June 19, 1865. The Juneteenth National Independence Day Act was signed at the White House on June 17, 2021, recognizing it as a federal holiday.
