- Victims accused Tait of drugging them at parties, making unwanted sexual advances, and abusing his public image of godliness, while over two dozen insiders confirmed widespread knowledge of rumors in the Christian music industry.
- Tait acknowledged in a public statement that he had lied to and misled friends, family, and bandmates, admitting that much of the recent coverage regarding his harmful and irresponsible actions, including substance abuse and inappropriate behavior, was mostly accurate. Meanwhile, several radio stations ceased playing music from Newsboys and DC Talk.
- The controversy has led to calls for accountability within the Christian music scene and implications that the industry's systemic cover-ups enabled Tait's misconduct for decades.
