Rebecca M. Stewart, 77, of Portersville, passed away on October 7th, 2026 at Quality of Life Services in New Castle. Rebecca was born n December 14th, 1948 in Ellwood City, to the late Carmine and Cora (Naples) Costa. She graduated from Lincoln Highschool with the class of 1966, and later from the Bradford Business School, with an associates degree in business. Rebecca formerly worked at JOANN Fabrics, at the local Franklin Plaza, as a manager for many years, and then was the creator behind “Becca’s Creations”, a craft vendor-shop in Volant, Pa in the late 90s. Gifted with her artistic ability, she enjoyed making crafts, especially her talent as a seamstress, making many custom wedding and prom gowns. Although she was an excellent crafter, her greatest joy was being Nonni to her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Harry E.

Stewart whom she married on March 9th, 1968, of Portersville, daughter, Samantha Stewart also of Portersville, son, Sean (Kelly) Stewart of Ellwood City, grandchildren, Cole and Libby Stewart both of Ellwood City, sister, Corally (Kevin) Howell of Alexandria, VA, brother Douglas Costa of Freedom, nephew Doug Costa, her “second daughter”, Dana (Zelic) Cirelli of Ellwood City, and special family friend, Bryan Apolinar. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Carmen Costa, sisters-in-law, Niva Costa and Nancy Hazen and her beloved dog, Bronson. As per Rebecca’s wishes, there will be no public service. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
