- His school years were disrupted by both the coronavirus pandemic and Russia’s war, which started in February 2022 and caused frequent air alerts.
- Due to frequent air raid warnings, students missed about 20% of their lessons this year; over 1,600 schools have been damaged or destroyed, and in the eastern regions, classes have been relocated underground to enhance safety.
- Vladyslav’s mother, servicewoman Oksana Baranovska, said, "every mother, I am worried about my child's future," and she offered one last abroad trip, but he insisted on staying.
- Vladyslav will turn 18 soon and be barred from leaving Ukraine under martial law, symbolizing the difficult transition youth face growing up amid ongoing war.
