Juarez tops Tijuana in homicides

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Tijuana ranked ahead of Juarez on the list of world’s most dangerous cities in 2024. But this past March, it was the city across the border from El Paso that recorded the most homicides. On March 31, the figure of 100 homicides was reached so far this month. According to the statistics of the State authority, January closed with 82 homicides and February with 72. Last weekend it became the most lethal for the city, as there were 6 homicides on Friday, 6 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. Of the 100 people killed, 89 were men and 11 women. In addition, 93 victims were attributed to organized crime and 7 to common crime.
