Rayne city employee arrested in connection with theft charges

A Rayne city employee has been arrested in connection with suspected theft and records manipulation. The investigation was initiated after Thibodeaux Accounting Company, LLC, the city’s independent CPA firm, flagged irregularities and referred a criminal complaint to the Rayne Police Department, officials said.
