New Rangers Ace Cammy Devlin Pleased to Link up with Familiar Duo Again
The Australian midfielder becomes Rangers’ sixth summer signing after leaving Hearts, with a two-year deal and an option for a third year.
On Friday, Rangers announced the signing of Australian international midfielder Cammy Devlin on a free transfer from Hearts, committing him to a two-year deal at Ibrox with an option to extend for another 12 months.
Devlin reunites with head coach Derek McInnes and captain Lawrence Shankland, whom he previously worked with at Hearts during their Scottish Premiership title push last season that fell short only on the final day against Celtic.
"To call myself a Rangers player now feels pretty special," Devlin said, reflecting on the move after registering 29 league appearances for Hearts last term in their pursuit of the Scottish Premiership title.
The Australian international becomes the sixth summer signing for manager McInnes, joining Ben Godfrey and Ross McCrorie as Rangers bolster their midfield ahead of the new campaign.
Manager McInnes currently puts his squad through their paces in Spain as preparation for the new season continues, with the manager looking forward to welcoming Devlin upon his return from a holiday break.
