Ramayana advance bookings to open on Dussehra ahead of November 5 theatrical release
Early ticket sales crossed Rs 10 crore as limited bookings opened amid a revenue-sharing dispute between distributors and exhibitors, Sacnilk reported.
On October 20, 2026, advance bookings for Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, opened on Dussehra and quickly crossed Rs 10 crore in gross collection across India.
A revenue-sharing dispute between Dharma Productions and exhibitors delayed broader bookings, as distributors reportedly sought a 60% share in Week 1, exceeding the standard 52.5% for major releases.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film sold 86,187 tickets across 3,537 shows, with Delhi-NCR leading markets by contributing Rs 2.13 crore from 27,141 tickets.
Despite limited show availability at several venues, Ramayana's advance gross reached Rs 10.14 crore as negotiations between distributors and exhibitors continue ahead of release.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, the mythological epic releases worldwide on November 5, 2026, with a second installment planned for Diwali 2027.
