- On Tuesday, Oaktree appointed Jeff Shultz to lead Radial Entertainment, effective January 1, 2026, succeeding Garson Foos, current CEO and co-founder of Shout!, the company announced through Jared Frandle.
- Oaktree's rollup of FilmRise and Shout! prompted a search for a streaming veteran, and Radial was formed earlier this year after Oaktree acquired FilmRise and merged it with Shout!. Jeff Shultz was selected for his free‑streaming expertise and growth record at Pluto TV and Paramount Streaming.
- With a catalog of more than 70,000 titles, Radial commands substantial content scale, including Unsolved Mysteries and Mystery Science Theater 3000, and has expanded through acquiring Conan, Hemlock Grove, and the Golden Princess film library.
- The leadership change also reshuffles Radial's board, with Garson Foos transitioning to Executive Chairman and joining Danny Fisher as co-chairmen, Jared Frandle credited Foos for guiding the seamless transition.
- Backed by Oaktree Capital Management's $218 billion in assets as of September 30, 2025, Radial Entertainment aims to scale by leveraging its catalog and distribution, with Jeff Shultz joining about a year after leaving Paramount Global.
