Quebec passes law on non-consensual sharing of intimate images
Victims of non-consensual sharing of intimate images will now have a fast track to curb their spread. Bill 73, "An Act to Counter Non-Consensual Sharing of Intimate Images and to Improve Protection and Support in Civil Matters for Persons who are Victims of Violence" from the Minister of Justice, Simon Jolin-Barrette, was unanimously adopted Thursday in the National Assembly.
Bill 73, which consists in countering the sharing of intimate images without consent and improving the protection of victims, was adopted.
Victims who do not consent to sharing intimate images will now have a fast track to stop their spread. Bill 73 by the Minister of Justice, Simon Jolin-Barrette, was adopted unanimously in the National Assembly on Thursday.
