Quebec Budget 2025: A "strong Quebec," but in the red

Finance Minister Eric Girard did not take out the axe to rebalance public finances. He contented himself with a butter knife by abolishing a few credits for most unknown or underused.

The deficit will fall to 13.6 billion in 2025–26, and the return to fiscal balance could be compromised.
