VALLARTA SUPERMARKETS JOINS QUAD'S IN-STORE CONNECT NETWORK

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, JUL 15 – Vallarta expands digital ad screens to 60 Southern California stores, enabling advertisers to target shoppers near purchase points with sales lifts up to 20%, Quad said.

  • On July 15, 2025, Vallarta Supermarkets partnered with Quad/Graphics Inc. to introduce digital advertising screens in 15 of its California locations as part of an expansion of Quad/Graphics' retail media offerings.
  • This partnership follows Quad's August 2024 launch of In-Store Connect, a digital signage system showing 6- to 8-second video ads on shelves, aisles, and entrances.
  • Vallarta, a mid-market grocer with 60 stores and over 8,000 employees, will use the screens to highlight fresh, authentic products and promotions in English and Spanish to engage shoppers.
  • Kevin Bridgewater, Quad's SVP of Retail Solutions, stated the partnership expands their network and gives brands more chances to turn shopper attention into action at point of purchase.
  • The deal could boost category sales by up to 10% and campaigns offering discounts may see sales jump over 30%, supporting growing demand for retail media in mid-market grocery stores.
