PWHL expands neutral site game schedule to 16, with Denver, Detroit, Chicago getting 2 stops
- The Professional Women's Hockey League announced an expanded Takeover Tour with 16 neutral-site games across 11 sites in North America, opening on Nov. 21.
- Using the Takeover Tour, the PWHL has gauged potential expansion markets, adding Seattle and Vancouver, with plans to add two to four franchises next year, Amy Scheer said last month.
- Last season's Takeover Tour drew 123,601 fans, including a U.S. attendance record of 14,288 in Detroit.
- All eight PWHL teams will play in at least three Takeover Tour games, with two counted as home games, while the Ottawa Charge may relocate after TD Place capacity shrinks from 8,500 to 6,600.
- By staging most games at NHL arenas, the PWHL is playing in Halifax, Hamilton, Quebec City, and visits Denver, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas and Washington, D.C., key future markets.
