Public Prosecution Service demands prison and professional ban on appeal for fatal boom break
The Public Prosecutor's Office has appealed for eight months in prison, including four conditional, against 51-year-old skipper Daan V. from Harlingen for gross negligence. The Public Prosecution Service also called for a five-year professional ban. On V's sailing ship Risico, 12-year-old student Tara, from The Hague, was killed by a broken boom on August 31, 2022, during a sailing camp.
