The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has been granted permission by the court to proceed with the criminal prosecution of a climate activist for blocking the A12 motorway in The Hague with a car. According to the prosecutor, the Extinction Rebellion (XR) supporter thereby endangered other road users and obstructed ambulances. The defense not only disagrees with this but also believes the case should be dropped immediately.
