Best Friends Animal Society is inviting the public to give shelter dogs a much-needed break during its upcoming "Adventure Buddy Day," taking place Saturday at Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in West Los Angeles. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can stop by the center at 1845 Pontius Ave. to pick up an adoptable dog and take them out for an adventure.
