- On July 15, the PTI KP chapter recommended five names for general Senate seats to Chairman Barrister Gohar, and it directed those without tickets to withdraw their nominations.
- Discontented candidates Irfan Saleem, Ayesha Bano, Syed Irshad Hussain, Khurram Zeeshan and Waqas Orakzai refused to withdraw their nominations, and their video messages went viral on social media.
- A source said, `There will be no Senate polling in KP—every seat has been settled through mutual agreement between the ruling party and the opposition`, a source involved in the negotiations said, and under a 5/6 formula PTI will receive six seats and the opposition five.
