PSNI Statement as HSE Informed After Body Found on Beach

Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem examination will determine the cause.

  • Police discovered a man's body on a beach in the Moor Road area of Kilkeel, Down, on Thursday morning, just before 6.15am. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
  • This follows the death of Stuart Graham, a serving PSNI officer whose body was located on Whiterocks Beach on May 17. His death is also not believed to be suspicious.
  • Graham is remembered as a "loved husband" to Nicola and "devoted father" to Amelia and Dylan, survived by his family including Margaret, Alex, Cheryl, Alan, and Lesley.
  • Officers and emergency services attended both scenes to remove the bodies from the beaches. Post-mortem examinations and formal identification processes remain underway for both individuals.
  • A service of thanksgiving for Graham will take place this weekend in Belfast, with donations in lieu of flowers directed to Portrush RNLI according to his funeral notice.
