It is unacceptable, says Kai Steffen Østensen about the time it can take for older people to receive hearing aids. Now the Norwegian Labour Party is launching a "hearing aid guarantee" that will ensure treatment within four months.
The waiting time for hearing aids is so long that more elderly people are at risk of developing dementia before they get help. Now the government wants to cut the queue.
