Prime Minister to disburse ₹2,400 crore worth incentives to new employees, employers

- On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse ₹2,400 crore in incentives under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana in New Delhi, interacting with select first-time employees and employers benefiting from the scheme.
- Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced Thursday that 15 lakh beneficiaries will receive incentives via Direct Benefit Transfer , part of a ₹99,446 crore programme targeting 3.5 crore jobs over two years.
- First-Time employees receive benefits worth ₹15,000 while employers get up to ₹3,000 per month per new employee; more than 80% of incentivised establishments are small enterprises with fewer than 25 workers.
- Regional programmes will be held simultaneously across 200 industrial clusters, where Chief Ministers, Union Ministers, Governors, Deputy Chief Ministers, and State Labour Ministers will attend virtually from their respective States.
- The Viksit Bharat Udyog Yojana aims to boost manufacturing sector employment with extended benefits for up to four years, supporting small enterprises that remain the backbone of India's economy.
