An alleged femicide is being investigated in the community of Santa María Lachichina, in the municipality of San Juan Yaeé, in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, after the lifeless finding of a teacher and her partner inside a house. The victim was identified as Zeltzin Rubí Ortiz Ortiz, a teacher originally from San Pedro Tlaxiaco and a member of Section 22 of SNTE-CNTE.
