The paratrooper scandal of Zweibrücken has been known to the Ministry of Defence and the Bundeswehr's leadership since February 2025. Since then, investigations have been underway.
The head of the Bundeswehr informed the Defence Committee on Wednesday about the state of investigation in the paratrooper regiment 26 in the Rhineland-Palatinate Zweibrücken. There, cases of right-wing extremism, sexual misconduct and drug abuse increased. But one was missing at the meeting: Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius (SPD).
