Prehistoric megastructures reveal large-scale hunting networks

An airborne laser survey on the Karst Plateau of the Adriatic hinterland has led to the discovery of previously unknown dry-stone megastructures. Slovenian archaeologists have made an extraordinary discovery in the Karst region – several kilometers long stone structures that prehistoric communities used for mass hunting. According to the authors of the research, this is one of the largest prehistoric architectures of this kind in Europe. The megastructures were discovered quite by chance.
