Pregnant burglar posed as cleaner to steal £500k from London's second largest home

Luminita Zamfir, a 24-year-old pregnant woman, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to stealing more than £500,000 of jewellery from a London mansion on February 5.
Her series of thefts started last November when she gained access to luxurious homes by pretending to be a cleaner sent by an agency.
Zamfir targeted properties including Sean Gorvy’s £11 million house and an affluent couple’s £105 million mansion, taking watches, cufflinks, rings, necklaces, and cash worth about £548,565 in jewellery alone.
Police matched her DNA to a discarded tissue at Gorvy’s home, and officers caught her on CCTV while she left the house claiming she would return after buying cleaning products.
Zamfir, who has a history of four prior convictions and recently gave birth while being held on remand, has pleaded guilty to multiple burglaries and is due to be sentenced on June 11, facing a substantial prison sentence.
