The entire island of Gotland was hit by a power outage on Saturday evening. Electricity began to return at around 11:30 p.m., reports P4 Gotland.

The Swedish island went dark at around 10:30 Finnish time. The disruption is now over. According to the electricity company Geab, the connection to the mainland has been cut, Aftonbladet writes. According to the electricity company's representative Josefin Björk, power has been cut off before, and this is not a completely exceptional situation.
