A fast-moving storm system Tuesday mid-afternoon has brought temperatures down about 20 degrees, but it has also left more than 33,000 families and businesses in the dark. A brief but intense thunderstorm that swept through Macomb County on Tuesday afternoon knocked down numerous trees and power lines, causing traffic backups in addition to the regular rush hour jams.
