Power Outage Disrupts Court, Government Meetings in Downtown Santa Barbara

An unexpected power outage affected thousands of Southern California Edison customers in downtown Santa Barbara Tuesday afternoon and disrupted Superior Court hearings and government meetings.  Multiple outages were reported, including one at 1:55 p.m. and others around 3 p.m. There were 7,173 customers affected by the outages, spokeswoman Gabriela Ornelas said.  As of 5:10 p.m., SCE crews were switching affected customers to circuits that were …
