US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are planning to arrive in both Moscow and Kiev over the weekend, the Russian news agency TASS reported. However, as The Kyiv Independent reported, citing its sources, Witkoff is concerned that something might happen in Kiev after the Russians told him the trip was dangerous. There is a possibility that he will not make it to the Ukrainian capital.
Moscow does not plan to negotiate security arrangements with Kiev for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kouchner's possible visit.
