A fire broke out in a shed on Polderlaan in Blankenberge, West Flanders, on Sunday evening. It is situated in an isolated field, meaning there is no risk of the fire spreading. The roof of the shed does contain asbestos, although it is not certain whether this poses a risk to the neighborhood. “We hope that the asbestos fibers fell down with the roof and were not dispersed into the surrounding area,” says Björn Prasse, Mayor of Blankenberge.
