Number of private jets in Portugal up

Portugal is one of the 10 countries in the world with the highest emissions by private jets. Last year, the emissions were equivalent to the annual emissions of 141 thousand Portuguese people, warns the Aterra movement.

The Aterra movement has warned that private jets registered in Portugal increased from 145 in 2023 to 153 in 2024, causing carbon dioxide emissions greater than those of 140,000 Portuguese people this year.
