Port Passes 2026 Budget by Split Vote

The first Plaquemines Parish Port Harbor & Terminal District (PPHTD) meeting of the year was its budget hearing held on January 5 to approve its proposed 2026 budget. While governing bodies typically approve a given year’s budget in the final months of the prior year, and that was the initial plan for the port, a series of mistakes in publishing the budget and in scheduling budget hearings resulted in the meeting being pushed back to early 2026.
