- A pregnant 300-level University of Port Harcourt student, Cynthia Chukwundah, allegedly set her boyfriend, 32-year-old Sunny Amadi, ablaze at their residence in Choba over the weekend.

- Cynthia locked the room and ignited a fire while Amadi was asleep, and neighbors arrived to find the room engulfed in flames before rushing Amadi to the hospital.
