The deep differences between the National Assembly and the Senate, held by right-wing parties and the centre hostile to any additional levy, prevented the approval of the State budget.
Given the lack of agreement on the budget in parliament, the government wants to pass a special law to maintain the 2025 budget until January and the resumption of debates. It must be voted on from 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
