Mel Gibson recently started filming the highly anticipated The Resurrection of Christ, two parts of which will be released in theaters the year after next. The main characters in the sequel to The Passion of the Christ will be played by different actors, and the name of Kasia Smutniak, who will play the Virgin Mary, is particularly unpopular with (mainly) Polish conservatives.
