This week, the police took servers offline on which criminals could exploit the IP addresses of citizens and businesses—a so-called proxy service. A special team from the North Holland unit investigated a global network of nearly 178,000 devices allegedly used for this purpose. Hundreds of these were located in the Netherlands.
