Police searches underway at 10 locations in Kashmir
JAMMU AND KASHMIR, INDIA, JUL 19 – Counter Intelligence Kashmir arrested 10 suspects linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed recruitment and terror financing using encrypted apps and cross-border handlers, police said.
- On July 19, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir unit conducted search operations in ten different sites situated within four districts of the Kashmir Valley, focusing on terrorist sleeper cells and recruitment networks.
- These raids were launched following intelligence reports linking terrorist commander Abdullah Ghazi, operating from across the border, to a Jaish-e-Mohammed recruitment and financing scheme.
- Searches took place early Saturday in Pulwama, Ganderbal, Srinagar, and Budgam, yielding documentary evidence and digital devices, while 10 suspects have been arrested in connection with the probe.
